Kids: Two Little Cuties

Last Friday was Gold Rush Day for my husband's 4th grade class. Yes, us crazy Californians make our 4th graders dress up in time period outfits, pan for gold, and eat stew and chili for lunch. But that's a post for another day. (I'm still trying to find out which photos I'm allowed to post... Boo!)

Today it's all about 2 little cuties that came with their mom to... umm... help. I don't know how much a 2 year old can help, but they were so dang cute. To keep with the theme that day their mother dressed them in little white sundresses and white sweaters. I guess back in the 1800's little girls dressed in all white so when they got dirty from climbing around in the dirt their mothers could just bleach their dresses! How brilliant is that? If I have a little girl, she might just wear white everyday. Maybe.

Celebrate! A Street Party

If you caught my post on Monday, you may have noticed that my birthday was 2 Fridays ago. I know... I totally do my posts backwards ;) I woke up sick that morning, so it wasn't the birthday I thought it would be. But by noon I was finally feeling good enough to head down to Disneyland with my wonderful husband and parents. I was excited to see the new Celebrate! A Street Party "parade" since it had just recently come out and I missed it the last time I was down there. (Can you tell that we are passholders? We are kinda Disney freaks...)

Celebrate: A Street Party Sign

I had heard all kinds of reviews for this "parade". Some made it sound extremely entertaining and others thought it looked cheap. I had to see for myself. All of the music they played was upbeat and fun. The dancers did a great job which made up for the lack of real floats. There were tons of different characters (even one I didn't recognize which is rare).

The only part I didn't enjoy was right before the parade when the parade techs made everyone stand up. Now I'm on the short side (5'3"and a half) and so having grown men standing up in front of me didn't make me very happy. I spent most of the parade on my toes trying to get pictures without heads in it. I guess the idea was that if everyone is standing, more people will dance. Sure....

My review? If you were a fan of Block Party Bash over at California Adventure (or Hollywood Studios for those of you in Florida!), you'll enjoy it. If you hated Block Party Bash, I'm sorry.

Enjoy the parade from my view!

i heart faces: Happy Birthday

Button - Kids

So I'm trying something new this week. I'm entering myself into the "i heart faces" weekly challenge. I might make this a weekly thing... who knows!

Anyways, back to the photo!

This week's theme was "Happy Birthday" which was perfect for me! Not only was it my birthday 2 Friday's ago, but it's my nieces birthday today! (Happy Birthday Isabel!) Yesterday my sister-in-law and her family came over to have cake and presents for the birthday girl. I couldn't resist getting the classic blowing out the candles shot!
