Melissa: Getting Ready

When Melissa emailed me asking if I would take her getting ready pictures on her wedding day, I was so excited! I "met" Melissa back when I was planning my wedding last year on The Knot, and so I had seen her wedding slowly come together. We had never met in real life, but after that much time online venting about everything from family to shoes to flowers, you feel like you could be best friends.

Melissa was the happiest and least stressed bride I have ever met. She had a smile on her face the entire morning. She was just giddy about everything. Her bridesmaid kept asking if she was stressed out at all, and she just kept smiling.





This perfume bottle was my favorite! Just look at those colors!

Melissa gave her mom a handkerchief that read:
"Today a Bride, Tomorrow a Wife, Forever your Daughter"
Her mom's eyes filled with tears. I almost cried.



Then she gave her father a picture of the two of them on a trip to San Fransisco.









I think her friends were excited for her :)

Friends: Knottie GTG

It all started last year in January. Doug popped the question and I said yes (or I said of course, we still arn't sure!). Then we were off and running planning a wedding in 8 months. The Knot Boards were the best thing that could of happened to me. The girls there were so supportive and have the best ideas. They are super creative and ridiculously sweet. And they are so fun to hang out with in real life. This weekend I got the chance to meet up with all the new brides (and one married hag like me!), chat, and eat yummy food at Granville Cafe in Glendale.
