Vacation: Mexico Part 1
A few weeks ago we took a trip to Mexico! I hadn't been to Mexico since I was a child, so when we found a really good deal on an all inclusive resort in Playa Del Carmen (it's south of Cancun) we jumped on it. I couldn't wait to hang out in clear warm water and just take a break!
Our hotel was amazing! We stayed at the Grand Sunset Princess. It was HUGE! It literally took 10 minutes to walk from one side to the other, and that was if you were walking quick. It was really pretty with ponds, palm trees, and funky statues scattered everywhere.
Our room is the bottom one in the middle. Yes, you see that right. Our balcony? It went straight into the pool! So cool! (And our room was HUGE!)
The firs day were were there, the remains of a hurricane/tropical storm were still lingering so it was super windy! The lifeguards wouldn't let people go into the ocean past a few steps (usually the water is really calm!), so we spent the day enjoying the view and chilling in the beach chairs!
I was so excited when I found out our hotel had one of these booths because I remembered doing this as a child! You get to pick your piece of pottery, you paint it, and then they embellish it and "glaze" it! It's such a fun, personal, souvenir! I definitely recommend doing this if you're ever in Mexico!
Up next... our day trip to Chichen Itza!
