On the last day we headed into Playa Del Carmen. It's a cute, super touristy, town. The streets are lined with cute little shops (and from my experience they all sell the exact same things, ohh touristy towns...) bars, restaurants, and little hotels. We walked around for a few hours popping in and out of shops and a avoiding the sudden downpours.
The day we were in town was especially fun since it was the day that Mexico was playing Brazil in the gold medal soccer match. All the men in town gathered on the street around the bars to watch the game. And they won! Unfortunately they won during one of the many downpours and so we didn't get to see the end of the game!
After spending the day in town, we headed back to our hotel and enjoyed one last sunset on the beach!
